Fishing line such as Fireline, Powerpro, and Trilene are great for beading! They are very strong and won’t stretch out of shape over time. I like to use at least 10lb strength but 6lb is fine if you are using smaller, light weight beads that do not have sharp edges. Mono filament is good for stringing but not for intricate bead weaving as it is not as flexible. Fireline Crystal is an opaque white color which works great with lighter color beads. You will get the best value if you buy a large role at Wallmart or a Sporting goods store rather than buying a jewelry making supplier branded version.
